We are an Independent Monitoring Team capable of contributing to the well-being of working men and women, employing a strategy which links a gender analysis and the promotion of human rights as an alternative for social and economic justice.
Our Mission
EMIH monitors, verifies, investigates and documents the behavior of the labor market, compliance with legislation and national and international procedures in the labor relations established in export processing industries, as well as conditions under which men and women work in the formal, informal and home-based sectors. It promotes and provides training on the use of standards, principles, policies and procedures in the areas of human rights, gender and social responsibility, and establishes links for the articulation and coordination with networks, institutions and local and international organizations.
