monitors and verifies labor conditions in those companies from the perspective of respect for the human rights of working people.

The foundation for EMIH’s work is the country’s
constitution, laws, international covenants and instruments on human rights which have been ratified by the state of Honduras and doctrinaire labor principles. Aware of the changes underway worldwide, EMIH has also adopted as an additional tool the codes of conduct promoted by companies who do business in Honduras, sustained in the principles of Business Social Responsibility.
